DEKALB — The DeKalb City Council on Monday approved a 10-year hotel tax rebate agreement with Peace Road Hotels LLC for a planned 120-room Fairfield Inn and TownePlace Suites at 902 Peace Road. The Marriott-branded project, estimated at $23.2 million, will receive up to $2 million in hotel-motel tax revenue rebates on a descending scale from 90 percent in the first year to 50 percent by year five, with payments ending once the cap is reached. The four-story hotel will feature both standard and extended stay rooms and has been in development since 2024.
