DeKalb Council Approves Gas Station at S. Fourth Street

DEKALB – The DeKalb City Council approved rezoning 802-810 South Fourth Street last week to allow a gas station and convenience store. The plan includes fuel pumps, underground tanks, parking on multiple sides, and renovations to the existing building. Alcohol, cannabis, and tobacco sales will be restricted because of the nearby school. The measure passed 7-0 after review by the Planning and Zoning Commission.
