DEKALB — The DeKalb Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Local Showcase on April 23 at the Northern Illinois University Convocation Center, featuring more than 80 local businesses and nonprofits in a free community event open from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Membership Manager Anna Wilson said the event offers residents a chance to connect with local resources, products and services in one place. “If you are looking to get involved, you want information about local resources, you want to see where you can buy different products, or you want services, this is the place to be,” Wilson said.
The event will begin with a kickoff celebration recognizing the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Wilson encouraged residents to attend early, saying, “Definitely make sure you come out and be a part of that experience.”
Admission and parking are free, and attendees should enter through Entrance 2 at the ticket booth.
