DAVIS JUNCTION — Local business owners proposed a monthly “Cruise Night” from May through October, featuring classic cars, food trucks, and charity raffles in Davis Junction. Last week the Davis Junction village board expressed support, citing a successful show last year that drew nearly 75 cars. Erik Hopp, who runs an automotive detailing business in Monroe Center, and his wife Leslie, a Winnebago High School special education teacher, noted the events would be similar to their Joe Rice Memorial Car Show, which raises funds for a $1,000 scholarship for a graduating Winnebago senior each year.
