DAVIS JUNCTION — The Davis Junction Administrative Board approved several contracts and projects Tuesday night to improve village services and infrastructure.
The board approved a subscription with TKB Associates of Mokena for Laserfiche data storage at $3,600 annually. The first year, including setup, will cost $5,225. TKB will also work with the village on a future server replacement. Trustees also accepted an $11,315 grant from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency for equipment upgrades.
In utility work, the board approved a $6,438.43 contract with McGill Electric to replace the motor at Well No. 1. The old motor will be rebuilt as a spare. Plans for Junction Road shoulder repairs moved forward with a bid packet approved and bids set to open October 8.
Updates on public works projects included progress on park improvements under an OSLAD Grant, with a splash pad and concession stand concrete poured and bathroom and fence installation scheduled. A $3,701 change order for window guards at the concession stand was approved. Inspections at the Harvest Glenn Subdivision found ditches with improper slopes and missing sod. Plans to replace the Village Hall canopy roof, estimated at $7,880, remain tabled, with officials considering covering the structure in tin.
