David Pilgrim Sworn In as New Polo Police Officer

POLO — Former Rock Falls Police Chief David Pilgrim was sworn in Monday night as the newest officer with the Polo Police Department. Pilgrim, a Prophetstown High School graduate, earned an associate degree from Sauk Valley Community College and completed basic law enforcement training at the University of Illinois Police Training Institute in 2001. He served with the Rock Falls Police Department for 24 years, holding positions including detective, sergeant, and administrative commander before serving as chief from 2021 until his retirement in September 2025.
