OAK BROOK — Darren Bailey is running for Governor of Illinois again. The former Republican state senator announced his bid yesterday. He chose Cook County Republican Party Chair Aaron Del Mar as his running mate. Bailey lost to Pritzker in the governor’s race in 2022. After referring to Chicago as a “hellhole” four years ago, he says he plans on focusing more on the city and its suburbs in this campaign.
