Behind the pitching of All-Star Matthew Boyd, The Chicago Cubs shut out the Kansas City Royals 6-0 Tuesday night at Wrigley Field.
Boyd threw 7 scoreless innings and is now (11-3) for the season.
The Cubs had 9 hits in the game. Pete Crow-Armstrong had an RBI double while Matt Shaw and Seiya Suzuki had RBI singles.
The Royals were held to 6 hits in the game. Rich Hill took the loss on the mound.
