Nick Fortes hit a tiebreaking home run in the 9th inning on Saturday giving the Tampa Bay Rays a 5-4 win over the Chicago Cubs at Wriglet Field.
The Rays had tied the game in the 8th inning on a home run by Junior Caminero, his 43rd for the season.
The Cubs had 1st and third with nobody out in the bottom of 9th inning. They failed to score a run.
The loss snapped a 3-game winning streak for Chicago. Michael Busch and Moises Ballesteros had home runs for the Cubs.
The team honored Anthony Rizzo prior to the ball game. He helped the Cubs win the 2016 World Series.
Rizzo recently announced his retirement from baseball.
The rubber game in the series is Sunday afternoon in Chicago.
