Pete Crow-Armstrong and Moises Ballesteros each went deep for Chicago, which had dropped back to back games.
Mason Englert was tagged with the loss after allowing four runs, three of them earned, on seven hits. Tampa Bay’s winning streak is over after three games.
Cubs Opening Day Starter Matthew Boyd is expected to miss an extended amount of time. He was placed on the 15-day injured list with strained left biceps.
Manager Craig Counsell says he doesn’t expect Boyd to need longer than the 15 days on the injured list.
Meanwhile, another starter Cade Horton remains on the 15-day IL. He has a strained righty forearm. Horton is still awaiting the results his MRI.
