It was the 51st win for Chicago.
Cleveland had home runs from Carlos Santana, Lane Thomas, and David Fry.
The Cubs look for the 3-game sweep in the series Wednesday night.
Chicago also got good news prior to the game when Kyle Tucker and Pete Crow-Armstrong were named starters for the National League at next week’s All-Star Game.
