Correctional Officer At Thomson Prison Charged With Engaging in Sexual Acts With Inmates

THOMSON —  A correctional officer at the Federal Correctional Institution in Thomson is accused of engaging in sexual acts with two inmates.  Danny Spyker was indicted by a federal grand jury in Rockford.  Prosecutors say he knowingly engaged in sex acts with the inmates in December 2023 and March 2024.  Spyker has been on administrative leave from his position as a correctional officer since last June.
