Corn Looking Good, Soybeans Picking Up in Illinois

SPRINGFIELD – Corn and soybeans in Illinois are moving along well this month. About 46% of corn has started silking and 6% has reached the dough stage, close to or ahead of the normal pace. Soybeans are catching up, with 53% blooming and 12% setting pods. Most of both crops are in good or excellent shape.
