Chicago Law Firm Investigating Closure Of Tyson Foods Joslin Plant

JOSLIN  —  A Chicago-based law firm is investigating Tyson Foods after the company announced plans to close its plant in Joslin, Illinois.  The closure would impact about 25-hundred union workers.  Officials with Strauss Borrelli PLLC are looking into whether Tyson Foods violated the WARN Act.  The firm claims the WARN Act requires covered employers to provide 60 days’ prior written notice to employees in the event of a mass layoff or plant closing.
