BYRON — The City of Byron is moving forward with a downtown improvement project involving two mixed-use buildings at 124 and 126 W. 2nd Street. The project, valued at just over $21,000, will fund exterior painting and replacement of cracked or damaged storefront windows and doors. Property owner Kathy Mrozek sought bids for the work, and received a proposal from Dixon Glass for some of the project. City officials said they will continue fine-tuning the TIF agreement before construction begins and finalizing an agreement with the owner
