The Milwaukee Brewers leap-frogged the Chicago Cubs in the NL Central race with an 8-4 win over the Northsiders at American Family Field.
The Brewers trailed by three early before plating four runs in the bottom of the third. Andrew Vaughn, Sal Frelick, and Christian Yelich all homered in the victory, while Nick Mears picked up his second win in relief. The Brewers are in first place in the NL Central at 63-and-43.
Matthew Boyd was charged with his fourth loss after surrendering five runs on six hits in five innings. The Cubs are just a game behind Milwaukee.
