Boone and Ogle County Farm Strolls Set for October

OREGON — The University of Illinois Extension will host its annual Boone County and Ogle County Farm Strolls in October, giving visitors a chance to tour local farms and learn about agriculture. The Boone County Farm Stroll is set for Oct. 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature nine farms, including two new participants, Farmers Rising and Meyers Family Farm. The Ogle County Farm Stroll will be held Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature 10 farms, with the Ogle County Extension Office also open during the event. Visitors can explore farms at their own pace, meet local producers and purchase farm products. Directional signs will be posted at each stop, and visitors are asked to leave pets at home.
