Bishop Hill, IL — Crossroads Cultural Connections will host Blame Not the Bard (BNTB) in concert Friday, February 13, at Bishop Hill Creative Commons. The evening begins with an optional potluck at 6:00 PM, followed by the concert at 7:00 PM. The all-ages show has a suggested donation of $20–30.
Since forming in 2015, BNTB has captivated audiences with fiery instrumentals, heartfelt songs, and engaging stories, blending traditional Celtic music with original compositions. The band has performed across nine states, from intimate listening rooms to major festivals including Kansas City Irish Fest and Iowa Irish Fest, building a growing national following.
BNTB has been featured in Little Village Magazine, on KDEC 100.5, on the award-winning Irish and Celtic Music Podcast CeolPlay with Colum King, and in an Iowa PBS special, Greetings from Iowa. The band features Dan Vaughn on whistle, flute, and guitar; Nicole Philbrick on fiddle, vocals, and mandolin; and Andrew Philbrick on vocals, tenor banjo, and bass, bringing skill, tradition, and energy to every performance.
