BISHOP HILL, Ill. — Award winning blues rock artist Amanda Fish will perform Sunday, January 11, at Bishop Hill Creative Commons with opening act Jerm Theory. The event is open to all ages and begins with an optional potluck dinner at 6 p.m., followed by the concert at 7 p.m. A suggested donation of 20 to 30 dollars will be accepted, with proceeds going directly to the artists.
Fish was born and raised in Kansas City and is known for blending blues rock and Americana. She formed her band in 2014 and has released multiple albums on the Vizztone Label Group. Her music features strong vocals, guitar driven arrangements, and a steady rhythm section.
Her debut album Down In The Dirt earned the 2016 Sean Costello Rising Star Blues Blast Music Award. Her second album Free won the 2019 Blues Music Award for Best Emerging Artist Album and reached number six on the Billboard Blues Chart.
Fish released her most recent album Kingdom in 2024. The album reached number one on the Roots Music Report Blues Rock chart, with four singles placing in the Top 20. One single, Mockingbird, reached number one on the SiriusXM Bluesville Rack of Blues Countdown for two consecutive weeks.
Fish has toured throughout the United States and Canada and has performed at venues including Buddy Guy’s Legends, Ground Zero Blues Club, and Knuckleheads. She currently lives in Nashville and is touring in support of Kingdom. More information is available at xroadscc.org.
