ROCHELLE – The Annual Tyler “Smitty” Smith 5K Memorial Race will be held September 14th, starting at the Atwood Bike Path with packet pickup at Cooper Park Shelter. The event honors Smith, an avid racer who died in 2018, and raises money for the Tyler Smith Memorial Foundation, which awards scholarships to local high school students and supports charities benefiting police and military groups. Registration costs $40 for the race, T-shirt and lunch or $25 for the race and lunch, with proceeds benefiting community causes. To guarantee a shirt, register by September 1st.
