Amboy Man Arrested On Child Pornography Charges After State Police Investigation

AMBOY — Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 2 agents arrested 37-year-old Cameron J. Riley of Amboy on May 5 on two counts of dissemination of child pornography, a Class X felony, following a child sexual abuse investigation in Lee County. Agents said the case began in January 2026 after receiving a CyberTip about the distribution of child sexual abuse material, which led to Riley being identified as a suspect. Authorities located Riley at his home in the 200 block of North Jones Avenue, interviewed him, and then took him into custody after the Lee County State’s Attorney’s Office approved the charges. Riley is being held at the Lee County Jail pending his first court appearance.
