NORMAL — Automotive seating manufacturer Adient is set to open a new assembly facility next to the Rivian plant in Normal, bringing 75 new full-time jobs to the area. The company will invest more than $8 million in the project, supported by Illinois’ Reimagining Energy and Vehicles in Illinois program. The facility will focus on assembling seat components for Rivian vehicles and adds to Adient’s global footprint of over 200 manufacturing and assembly sites in 29 countries.
