BISHOP HILL, Ill. — “Dancing Queen: An ABBA Salute,” a popular tribute band, will perform a free outdoor concert at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, in the village park in Bishop Hill. The event, hosted by the Bishop Hill Heritage Association, invites music lovers of all ages to bring lawn chairs and enjoy an energetic two-hour show featuring ABBA’s most beloved hits.
The concert will include performances of more than 30 fan favorites such as “Waterloo,” “Mamma Mia,” and “Dancing Queen.” The tribute band is known for capturing the spirit and sound of the iconic Swedish pop group, offering a high-energy experience filled with colorful costumes and familiar melodies.
Several local groups will provide food and refreshments during the event. The Bishop Hill Old Settlers’ Association will run a food stand near the Colony Store, while the Methodist Church will hold a bake sale beside the Steeple Building Museum. Uncle Bud’s Apple Cider Slush will be available near the Prairie Arts Center. The concert is supported by multiple organizations and will take place at the park next to the Steeple Building at 103 North Bishop Hill Street.
