CHICAGO — Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul announced a settlement with manufacturing company Vee Pak LLC, doing business as Voyant Beauty, over allegations the company participated in unlawful no poach agreements with temporary staffing agencies. Under the agreement, Vee Pak will pay $625,000 to compensate temporary workers affected by the arrangement. Raoul’s office filed the lawsuit in 2022 against Vee Pak and six staffing agencies, alleging the companies agreed not to recruit or hire each other’s employees, limiting workers’ opportunities for better wages and benefits. The settlement also requires Vee Pak to follow antitrust laws and allow workers to seek employment freely. The case is now fully resolved, with Raoul’s office recovering a total of $2.52 million from all defendants through multiple settlements reached since 2023.
