BYRON – The City of Byron will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its fourth downtown mural, titled Community and Connection, on Friday at 10 a.m. at 135 N. Union Street. The mural was created by artist Nicole Arand, a Columbia College Chicago graduate who founded Sharp Custom Painting in 2021 after working as a graphic designer in the Rockford area for a decade. The event will recognize the artist and sponsors who supported the addition of the new public artwork to the city’s downtown.
