Nature Explorers Camp Returns to Russell Woods for Summer Youth Programs

SYCAMORE – Area youth ages 7 to 11 are invited to attend Nature Explorers Camp this summer at Russell Woods Forest Preserve where participants will explore nature and build outdoor skills through hands-on activities led by University of Illinois Extension 4 H Youth Development staff and Natural Resources Education Center staff. The camp in Genoa has served the community for 25 years and continues to offer outdoor education through games experiments and team challenges in a supervised setting. Sessions run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Natural Resource Education Center with enrollment limited to 20 campers per week. Three week long sessions are scheduled including Trailblazers Camp June 22 through 26 for ages 9 to 11, Cold Blooded Critters Camp July 6 through 10 for ages 7 to 9, and Insect Investigators Camp July 20 through 24 for ages 7 to 9.
