Bears head coach Ben Johnson says the team will need to fill a void at left tackle. He made the statement today while at the NFL Annual League Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona.
The problem began when starting left tackle Ozzy Trapilo suffered a serious knee injury in the playoffs. He will miss most or all of the season.
Coach Johnson says he will either hold a competition for the position with existing players or draft a long-term answer. The Bears have the 25th pick in next month’s NFL Draft.
