Ogle County Solar Proposal Sent Back for Further Zoning Review

OREGON — An Ogle County solar project proposed by Cypress Creek Renewables is being sent back to the Zoning Board of Appeals for further review after county officials cited a procedural issue. The plan calls for a 4.99 megawatt solar facility on about 35 acres near Willow Road in Mount Morris Township. The Zoning Board of Appeals previously voted 3 to 2 to recommend approval, finding the project met all required standards, but county officials later said the matter should have been handled differently. County committees have now recommended sending the petition back to the zoning board, where it is expected to be reviewed again at an upcoming meeting.
