Sycamore Approves Zoning Change for Tom & Jerry’s Rebuild

SYCAMORE — The Sycamore City Council approved a zoning map amendment for Tom & Jerry’s at 1670 DeKalb Avenue Monday night, allowing it to change from C-2, Central Business District to C-3, Highway Business District. The property, longtime home of the restaurant, was destroyed by fire in January. Owner Diann Beaulieu plans to demolish the current structure and build a new restaurant. City staff said the C-2 zoning was inconsistent with the location and that the change aligns with other C-3 properties along Illinois Route 23.
