Genoa Man Charged After Domestic Shooting Leaves One Injured

GENOA — A 67-year-old Genoa man is in custody after a domestic dispute early Sunday left one person hospitalized with a gunshot wound. Genoa Police responded to a home around 12:40 a.m. after reports of a domestic incident involving gunfire. Police said an argument between the people involved escalated when the suspect fired a gun toward the victim. The victim suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to a regional hospital with injuries considered not life threatening. Officers arrested Mark E. Rowland of Genoa, who faces felony charges of aggravated domestic battery, aggravated battery, reckless discharge of a firearm, and two counts of domestic battery. Rowland is being held at the DeKalb County Jail.
