ROCHELLE – The Rochelle City Council approved the subdivision of a 9.73-acre property at 1415 10th Avenue into four lots for single-family homes. The property, owned by St. Paul Lutheran Church and zoned for low-density residential use, will be divided into parcels ranging from 0.63 to 4.53 acres, all meeting the minimum lot size requirements. The Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved the preliminary and final plats after a public hearing. City Attorney Dominick Lanzito noted that this was just a vote on the lots and plats after the division met current city requirements. Any further changes or development would have to be brought back before the Rochelle Planning and Zoning Commission.
