Ogle County Animal Control Restarts Trap Neuter Return Program

OREGON – Ogle County Animal Control is restarting a Trap Neuter Return program to help manage feral and community cat populations. The program traps cats, vaccinates and sterilizes them, and then returns them to outdoor areas where they live. Officials say the process helps control population growth and reduces behaviors such as fighting and mating. The agency is also looking for barns, large rural properties, and other outdoor spaces where the cats can live and help control rodents.
