Oregon Expands Dog Park, Plans River Cleanup for September

OREGON — The City of Oregon announced updates to its dog park this week, including expanded parking, new signs, and a dedicated area for small dogs. Public Works also set a September 6 date for a Rock River cleanup, with volunteers needed to collect litter on land and in boats between Mud Creek Road and Castle Rock. A rain date is scheduled for the following Saturday, and shuttle service and limited free canoes will be provided. Supplies such as gloves, trash bags, and water will be available, while students and community groups are encouraged to participate.
