BELVIDERE – A 19-year-old Belvidere man is accused of hitting and killing a person while drunk driving. The Boone County Sheriff’s Office says the collision happened Saturday night at Olson Road and Sheffield when a Jeep Cherokee driven by Trevor Tosh hit a person. The victim, 41-year-old Anthony G. Tzemopoulos, was pronounced dead at the scene, while Tosh was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. He was later charged with aggravated DUI causing death and DUI.
