ROCKFORD — A man is receiving a 21-year prison sentence for robbing a Schnuck’s grocery store in Rockford in 2022. Daisean Davis pleaded guilty last year to charges of Armed Robbery and Aggravated Battery. Authorities say in February 2022, Davis and another person entered the store and demanded money from a locked safe. Surveillance video showed Davis attacking an employee, including hitting them in the back with a hammer. His co-defendant was sentenced to 19 years in prison after accepting a plea deal.
