Oregon Officials Seek Tenant for Vacant Kunes Property

OREGON — Oregon City officials provided an update Wednesday night on the vacant Kunes dealership property. The family that owns the property is finishing the removal of equipment from the building, after which the city and the Ogle County Economic Development Corporation hope to market the site for a new tenant. Officials said they hope to attract another car dealership or possibly retail businesses, but noted it may take time to secure a tenant that matches the tax revenue of the previous occupant. City representatives are also exploring state incentives and other options to help make the property appealing to potential buyers or lessees.
