VCCT Schedules Auditions for Gilligan’s Island Musical

ROCHELLE — Vince Carney Community Theatre will hold auditions for “Gilligan’s Island: The Musical” on Sunday, November 16 from 2 to 4 p.m. and Monday, November 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lincoln Arts Center, 108 S. Main Street. Directors are seeking eight actors to play the main characters from the classic television sitcom, plus one additional role, with performers expected to sing a prepared song and imitate a character from the show. The production, directed by Will Mingus with Jim Whitten assisting and Jenna Mingus directing music and choreography, is scheduled for March 20, 21, 22, 27, and 28, and cast members must attend most rehearsals from January through the performances. Those interested in helping behind the scenes with lights, sound, costumes, or advertising are also encouraged to participate.
