AMBOY – The Lee County Sheriff’s Office arrested two Amboy men in separate narcotics investigations earlier this month. On October 23rd, deputies took 52-year-old Charles T. Lovell into custody, charging him with delivery of methamphetamine between 15 and 100 grams, a Class X felony, and delivery of less than 5 grams, a Class 2 felony. Lovell had previously been arrested in July for possession of a stolen motor vehicle and was placed on conditional discharge earlier this month. On October 28th, deputies arrested 34-year-old Steven M. Hobbs and charged him with delivery of methamphetamine under 5 grams, a Class 2 felony. Both men were released with a notice to appear.
