Courthouse Roof Work To Begin In Ogle County

OREGON — Scaffolding will surround the Ogle County Courthouse this week as roof repairs begin, weather permitting. County officials said the project, handled by Sterling Commercial Roofing, is expected to be completed by the end of December. The company was the low bidder at $813,125, which includes a $30,000 contingency allowance. If no rotted subroofing panels are found, the final cost could be reduced to $783,125. The courthouse basement also has been completed, with painting finished and furniture returned to place.
