DEKALB — A 23-year-old DeKalb man faces 11 felony charges, including eight Class X counts, after authorities said he uploaded child sexual abuse videos and a photo to the platform X, formerly Twitter. Investigators said they began looking into Charyan K. Johnson in July after receiving a cybertip from the Illinois Attorney General’s Crimes Against Children Task Force, which traced the content to his accounts and cellphone. Deputies executed a search warrant at his residence, seizing electronic devices before taking him into custody September 12. Johnson remains in the DeKalb County Jail.
