Rochelle Police Investigate Attempted Vehicle Burglary

ROCHELLE — An individual allegedly attempted to gain entry into a locked vehicle in Rochelle last Thursday, and the incident was reportedly captured on a doorbell camera. The Rochelle Police Department says they were alerted by a resident around 1 a.m. in the area of Tilton Manor Drive about a person attempting to break into a vehicle parked on the street. Authorities say the footage shows the individual leaving the area in another vehicle that was waiting for them. Anyone with security footage from the area showing suspicious behavior is asked to contact the Rochelle Police Department.
