Suspect Gunned Down After Dragging ICE Officer With Vehicle In Franklin Park

FRANKLIN PARK —  A suspect is dead after he allegedly dragged an ICE agent with his vehicle in west suburban Franklin Park.  The incident happened Friday morning near the corner of 25th and Grand Avenues.  Federal authorities say officers were conducting an arrest during a traffic stop, a suspect resisted and attempted to drive his vehicle into the agents.  The suspect struck an officer and dragged him while trying to speed away from the scene.  The officer opened fire, wounding the suspect, who was later pronounced dead at a hospital.  The officer suffered severe injuries and is stable.
