Rochelle Declares September 15 to October 15 as Hispanic Heritage Month

ROCHELLE  — Mayor John Bearrows and the City of Rochelle have proclaimed September 15 through October 15 as Hispanic Heritage Month, recognizing the cultural heritage and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. The observance honors the histories, traditions, and achievements of residents with roots in Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, and South America and highlights the role of the Hispanic community in the city’s economic, cultural, and civic life.
