Franklin Grove Woman Accused of Throwing Coffee; Threatening Casey’s Employee With Knife

FRANKLIN GROVE — A 41-year-old Franklin Grove woman was arrested after allegedly throwing hot coffee on a Casey’s General Store employee and later threatening the worker with a knife, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said Brandi M. Elliott was charged with aggravated battery, aggravated assault on public property, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following the August 27th incident. Elliott was released under provisions of the Illinois SAFE-T Act.
