August 1, 2025:

  • At 0640, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 7000 block of North IL Route 251. Jorge Laurencio Herrera, age 59, Rockford, was arrested for no valid driver’s license and cited for no insurance. Herrera was released on a notice to appear with a future court date.
  • At 1220, Deputies conducted a traffic stop at Route 26 and Henry Road. Jesse Gillman, age 59, Polo, was cited for driving while his license was suspended, operating a vehicle with no insurance, and operating a vehicle with no valid registration. Gillman was given a notice to appear.

August 2, 2025:

  • At 0022, Deputies, assisted by the Oregon Police Department, conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of North 4th Street, Oregon. Joseph McCray, age 63, Dixon, was arrested for driving while license revoked and cited for an inoperable registration light. McCray was released on a notice to appear.
  • At 1129, Deputies conducted a traffic stop at White Eagle and Baileyville Road. Jonathan Beckman, age 31, Forreston, was cited for driving while his license was suspended and given a notice to appear.

August 3, 2025:

  • At 2049, Deputies responded to a citizen complaint in the 3000 block of West Sumner Road, Leaf River. Troy A. Bedgood, age 35, Leaf River, was arrested for domestic battery and transported to the Ogle County Jail pending a court appearance.

August 4, 2025:

  • At 1730, Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance in the 200 block of Powers Road, Hillcrest. Latasha R. Maxwell, age 36, Rochelle, was arrested for domestic battery and held pending a court appearance.
  • At 2216, Deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident at the intersection of South Queens Road and East Flagg Road, Rochelle. Gae F. Schabacker, age 76, Rochelle, was transported to a hospital for treatment of a possible injury.

August 5, 2025:

  • At 1030, Deputies investigated a burglary in the 4000 block of West IL Route 64. Robert Disch, age 54, Mt. Morris, was arrested for theft over $500 and possession of stolen items and released on a notice to appear.
  • At 1448, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 1400 block of North 7th Street, Rochelle. Jesus Albertson, age 40, Rochelle, was arrested for driving while license revoked and cited for aggravated driving while license revoked, improper lane usage, and improper use of registration. Albertson was released on a notice to appear.
  • At 1925, Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident at 3747 W IL Route 64 (Mt. Morris Estates). Rachel R. Ware, age 38, Mt. Morris, was transported for non-life threatening injuries. A 16-year-old male juvenile from Oregon was cited for failure to reduce speed.

August 6, 2025:

  • At 0603, Deputies conducted a traffic stop near East IL 38 and South Mulford Road. Leonel Losoya, age 58, Rochelle, was arrested for driving while license revoked and released on a notice to appear.

August 7, 2025:

  • At 1900, Deputies and the Special Operations Unit arrested Jon F. Vos, age 46, Mount Morris, on an outstanding DeKalb County warrant for home invasion and aggravated domestic battery. Vos was transported to the Ogle County Jail pending a court appearance.
  • At 2325, Deputies conducted a traffic stop near West Illinois Rt 64 and North Freeport Road. Javan F. Dacosta, age 20, Freeport, was cited for driving while his license was suspended and given a notice to appear.

August 8, 2025:

  • At 0018, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of West Blackhawk Street, Byron. Kevin M. Ballard, age 32, Rockford, was arrested on an active Lee County warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia and held at the Ogle County Jail.
  • At 0450, Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance in the 16000 block of E. Eddy Road, Monroe Center. Austin Fenske, age 21, Monroe Center, was arrested for domestic battery and held pending a court appearance.
  • At 1940, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 5000 block of East Illinois Route 72, Stillman Valley. Zarai M. Cintora, age 23, Rockford, was arrested for driving while license suspended and cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Cintora was released with a notice to appear.
  • At 2003, Deputies conducted a traffic stop at E IL RTE 64 and S IL RTE 251. Lucas I. Orellana-Pereira, age 18, Rockford, was arrested for driving while license suspended and cited for operating a vehicle with expired registration and suspended registration/non-insured. Passenger Freanyer A. Pojoy-Cabrera, age 28, Rockford, was arrested on four Ogle County warrants. Orellana-Pereira was released; Pojoy-Cabrera was transported to the Ogle County Jail.

August 9, 2025:

  • At 0059, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of North Walnut Avenue, Forreston. Francisco A. Soto, age 47, Freeport, was arrested for driving with no valid license and held on a Stephenson County warrant; Jerson Onay Salgado Duarte, age 21, Freeport, was arrested for driving with no valid license. Both were transported to the Ogle County Jail.
  • At 0548, Deputies conducted a traffic stop near N Kennedy Hill Rd and N IL RTE 2. Nathan B. Klapp, age 40, Byron, was arrested on an active Ogle County warrant for failure to appear and later posted bond.
  • At 2347, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of West Blackhawk Drive, Byron. Allison M. Browning, age 25, Byron, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and cited for improper lane usage and failure to signal. Browning was released on a notice to appear.

August 10, 2025:

  • At 1519, Deputies conducted a traffic stop at N Baileyville Rd and W White Eagle Rd, Forreston. Honesty J. Niedermeier, age 24, Freeport, was arrested for driving while license suspended and cited for speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Niedermeier was released with a notice to appear.
  • At 2059, Deputies responded to a disturbance in the 100 block of E Pine Street, Forreston. Darrell G. Starr Jr., age 42, Forreston, was arrested for aggravated domestic battery and domestic battery and held pending a court appearance.

August 11, 2025:

  • At 0025, Deputies arrested a 17-year-old juvenile for driving under the influence of alcohol, BAC >0.08, and leaving the scene of an accident on N Baileyville Rd near W Coffmann Rd. The juvenile was released to a parent on a notice to appear.
  • At 0642, Deputies conducted a traffic stop near East IL Route 72 and North Junction Road, Davis Junction. Jeremiah Johnson, age 26, Rockford, was arrested for driving while license suspended and cited for suspended registration. Johnson was released with a notice to appear.
  • At 1927, Deputies, assisted by Illinois State Police, conducted a traffic stop on I-39 Southbound near mile marker 107. Steve Silva-Raya, age 42, Moline, was arrested for driving while license suspended and cited for an equipment violation. Silva-Raya was released with a notice to appear.
  • At 2040, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 6000 block of North Illinois Route 251. Keyosha T. Johnson, age 27, Davis Junction, fled the scene. Johnson was later arrested and charged with multiple traffic and felony offenses and held for outstanding warrants.
  • At 2130, Deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 7000 block of West Edgewood Road. Brandon M. Reynolds, age 41, Polo, was transported to OSF St. Katherine’s Hospital with suspected life-threatening injuries.

August 12, 2025:

  • At 1612, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle in the 2500 block of South Illinois Route 251. A 17-year-old juvenile male of DeKalb was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, aggravated fleeing to elude, and other charges. A 16-year-old juvenile male passenger was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle. Both were treated for minor injuries; the driver was transported to Kane County Juvenile Detention Facility.
  • At 2103, Deputies responded to a motorcycle versus deer crash in the 3000 block of South Illinois Rt 2, rural Oregon. Jerry W. Smith Jr., age 25, Oregon, was transported to a hospital for suspected minor injury.

August 13, 2025:

  • At 1855, Deputies responded to a complaint of juveniles riding ATVs in the roadway in the 400 block of Hillcrest Ave, Hillcrest. Timothy R. Ball, age 65, Rochelle, was arrested for battery. Three juveniles were cited for operating an ATV on the roadway. All were released with notices to appear.

August 14, 2025:

  • At 1215, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 8000 block of N Kishwaukee Road. James E. Macklin III, age 47, Chicago, was arrested for driving while license suspended and cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Macklin was released on a notice to appear.
  • At 1553, Deputies responded to a complaint in the 100 block of Main St., Leaf River. Tyler Bunting, age 35, Leaf River, was arrested for harassment through electronic communications and disorderly conduct and held pending a court appearance.
  • At 1848, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 5000 block of E Flagg Road. Courtney L. Nielsen, age 25, Rochelle, was arrested for driving while license suspended and cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Nielsen was released on a notice to appear.

August 15, 2025:

  • At 0715, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Route 72 at I-39. Blake Cohoon, age 40, Stillman Valley, was arrested for driving while license revoked and no insurance and released on a notice to appear.
  • At 1028, Deputies responded to an accident at the intersection of Illinois Route 52 and Freeport Road. Stacey Koch, age 46, Davis Junction, was cited for failure to yield. No injuries were reported.
  • At 1751, Deputies conducted a traffic stop near Illinois Rt 26 and Edgewood Rd. Monique Brinkmeier, age 41, Dixon, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and driving while license suspended and cited for multiple traffic violations. Brinkmeier was released on a notice to appear.
