SPRINGFIELD – Gov. J.B. Pritzker has signed two laws to regulate cryptocurrency. Senate Bill 1797 requires cryptocurrency companies to register with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation and comply with state policies and procedures. Senate Bill 2319 regulates digital asset kiosks. Both laws took effect Monday with the governor’s signature.
