102.3 The Coyote Named Finalist for Multiple Silver Dome Awards

ROCHELLE – 102.3 The Coyote has been nominated for six Illinois Broadcasters Association Silver Dome Awards, including Station of the Year. Charles Van Horn is a finalist for Best Feature for his coverage of the Lost Nation shooting, Best Continuing Coverage for his Election Special 2024, and Best News Reporter. Kris Wexell, Gary Petersen, and Van Horn are nominated for Best Morning Show with the 102.3 The Coyote Morning Show, while Wexell is also a finalist for Best Radio Personality. Last year, the station earned Best Small Market Community Event for the Two-ton Thanksgiving Food Drive, and Van Horn won awards for Best on the Spot Reporting and Best News Reporter. Winners will be announced October 27 in Springfield.
