#5 Illinois won their 12th straight game Wednesday night as they blew out Northwestern 84-44 in Champaign.
The Illini are now (20-3) for the season and in first place in the Big 10 Conference at (11-1).
Illinois led 47-19 at half time thanks to 11 3-pointers.
Andrej Stojakovic had 17 points for the Illini while Keaton Wagler had 13 to go along with 7 rebounds.
Northwestern drops to (10-13) for the season.
Illinois returns to the floor on Saturday night against #10 Michigan State who was upset by Minnesota on Wednesday night 76-73.
