Wind Advisory and Severe Weather Threat in Illinois and Northwest Indiana

CHICAGO – A Wind Advisory will be in effect from 10 PM tonight to 7 AM Thursday for parts of north central and northeast Illinois, as well as northwest Indiana, with winds of 20 to 30 mph and gusts up to 45 mph expected. These gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects, down tree limbs, and cause power outages. Wind-whipped snow may also reduce visibility and create hazardous travel conditions tonight. Additionally, scattered thunderstorms are likely throughout the day, with a risk of severe weather, including damaging winds, hail, and isolated tornadoes.
