Martin Perez didn’t allow a hit and struck out nine batters over six innings to earn the win.
The White Sox had home runs from Andrew Vaughn, Andrew Benintendi, and Michael Taylor.
Chicago is now 2-and-2.
Chris Paddack gave up all nine runs for Minnesota, which is still winless on the young season at 0-and-4.
Game 2 in the series is Tuesday night in Chicago.
